6:30AM Mitch: We should totally get out of bed.
7:45AM Claire: Are we getting up?
10:10AM Mitch: C’mon time to get up!
11:04AM Mitch: Okay, seriously we’re getting up.
We weren’t jetlagged, it’s only a 2 hour time difference, but we were definitely exhausted. The day before had been so stressful and draining and the weeks before that even more so. We finally pulled ourselves out of bed and wandered to a café for lunch and enjoyed a big breakfast before travelling out to pick up our hire car.
I was still amazed at how beautiful Christchurch was, it was seriously a really pretty city. We wandered around and saw the cathedral in the middle of the city and just generally had a nice day. We sampled the entire city, finishing up with a beautiful dinner at an award winning pub and restaurant.
